"The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning."
- Lamentations 3:22-23
I started this blog as a new mom of a sweet baby girl a little over a year ago. I wanted so badly to keep my eyes on the Lord rather than myself and my own worries, anxieties, and fears. This blog was a part of that. One thing that my daughter has taught me is the beauty of simple, concise, true, to the point communication. I just don't have time to explain my thoughts and analyze every email I send anymore. My time is all over the place - unpredictably busy - and I wouldn't have it any other way. But, that also means I don't have a ton of time for reading the Word and journaling. Things I used to do a lot. It's about quality, not quantity right? I hope so. I guess it's more about God's grace and ability to use crumbs to nourish my soul.
All that to say, this blog is filled with short, imperfect posts. Probably some typos and very few cool word art graphics that are Pinterest worthy. It was stretching for a recovering perfectionist like myself, but my hope is to focus on what's truly important - the message, the heart.
I compiled my writing from this blog into a book called Nineteen Words. Hope it's encouraging to you. Thank you for stopping by! -Katie
